MHI Vestas is thus able to increase the production capacity of its V164 turbine platform, which is currently in high demand. The new plant is located very close to the site where further parts of the offshore turbines are pre-assembled before they are put out to sea.
The port of Esbjerg can thus expand its reputation as the country's leading offshore port.

Chief Manufacturing Officer, Robert Borin, said: “MHI Vestas is proud to be a major contributor to the development of pre-assembly skillsets and the establishment of competence centres throughout regional Denmark. It’s exciting to see the new facility up and running at the Port of Esbjerg as the next manufacturing phase of the company takes shape.”
