Anchors for Aberdeen Bay Offshore Wind Project are completed

Marketex Offshore Constructions company, an affiliated company of BLRT Grupp, successfully completed production and delivery of 21 anchors for the wind turbine foundations commissioned by the Belgian Smulders Projects company, to be installed in Scotland in the Aberdeen Bay wind farm with capacity of 92.4 MW.

International tender for manufacture and delivery of anchors was held in autumn 2016, and contract was concluded already in December. Within the project over 3,000 tons of products were manufactured and shipped. Anchors are complex structures with a diameter of 9.5 meters, height up to 15 meters and weight from 140 to 195 tons, and manufacturing of these must meet a very high demands regarding quality of welding and painting.
