ACCIONA will build its fifth wind farm in Mexico, powering the energy transition in the country and aiming for more than 1,000 MW of renewables by the end of 2018.

ACCIONA builds the first renewable project in Mexico following electric power auctions

The 168-MW El Cortijo wind farm, the fifth owned by the company in Mexico, is located in Tamaulipas and will enter service in 2018 / It is equipped with fifty-six 3-MW Nordex/ACCIONA Windpower turbines and represents an investment of 210 million euros / By the end of 2018 ACCIONA will have more than 1,000 MW of renewables under ownership in Mexico, producing electricity equivalent to the consumption of almost 2 million homes
