Lagerwey partners with Rosatom to bring wind energy to Russia

Wind energy has not been a great issue in Russia in the past. This is about to change as Rosatom has found a partner to build up wind energy in Russia.

Lagerwey approved by Rosatom as licensing partner

Lagerwey is pleased to confirm that it has been selected by Rosatom as technology partner. In the initial stage 21 companies expressed interest and Lagerwey has been choosen out of a shortlist of three companies.

This step demonstrates the global potential of our direct drive technology. It furthermore underscores our ”advantage through simplicity” which translates into very cost competitive yet robust range of large 2 to 5 MW wind turbines. “We are committed to enable Rosatom and its subsidiaries to realize its ambition to realize 65% localization and construct 610 megawatts of wind capacity in Russia in the coming years” – stated the CEO of Lagerwey, Huib Morelisse.
