Nordex enlarging its head office in Hamburg

A good six years ago, the Group decided to build its head office in Hamburg-Langenhorn to place all central functions under a single roof. “Since then, we have grown sharply and have expanded our head office with the merger with the Spanish company Acciona Windpower. Nordex SE’s Management Board will remain based in Hamburg,” says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, CEO of Nordex SE.

In the meantime, it has been necessary to relocate individual departments as “Nordex Forum 1” no longer offers sufficient space. Following the completion of the new building in 2018, all employees will be again based in the enlarged “Forum”, where they will be able to work efficiently. The building complex will have a total floor space of 26,000 square metres and enough space for up to 1,300 employees.

The Hamburg metropolitan region is the European wind power capital, having attracted many customers over the years. This also includes the Nordex Group, which moved its head office to the region after going public in 2001 in order to benefit from the attractive local conditions. The wind turbine manufacturer’s German production facilities are located in Rostock.
