Wind Industry Profile of


JDR is planning its new service support centre in Newcastle, UK

The 4000 square metre facility will include a workshop, a warehouse and state-of-the-art offices and is suppose to act as the central base for JDR’s UK and European service operations.

Furthermore business in the Middle East and Asia will be monitored from Newcastle. The company is planning to extend its service business in the near future, making the investment neccessary.

JDR CFO, Ivan Coyard, says: “We are very excited to announce this new European service centre. We expect our service contracts to increase significantly as we continue to build on our recent successes, delivering cables and umbilicals globally to the offshore energy industry. Through this dedicated facility, we will set a new standard in service support, with project management, procurement and mobilisation of equipment and personnel providing a one-stop shop. This will ensure product integrity and ultimately maximise operational uptime for clients.”
