Constant demand for Lattice Towers

Tembra has successfully finished development of a 73 meter lattice tower. The weight optimized tower is designated for the Indian market and will be the basis of a 750kw turbine.

The tower top adaptor was designed as a welding assembly. This specific Fatigue-Analysis is quite an ambitious task. Here, the welded connections were calculated with the Notch-Stress-Concept. Compared to the Mean-Stress-Concept the same is known to provide a more reliable solution for the case that a non-uniform stress distribution results from the applied loading. To lower the calculation effort, the Submodel-Technique has been used for high-stress areas of the welded connection. Another feature of the model is the consideration of all bolted connections. A realistic stress distribution is therefore guaranteed.

The extended calculation concepts, used by Tembra, bring the customer the benefit of a more cost efficient and reliable solution.
