"Choose certainty. Add value" is the core idea behind the services TÜV SÜD provides to its clients.

Headquartered in Munich, Germany, the technical service corporation is more than a mere testing and inspection organization.

As a committed and responsible process partner boasting comprehensive industry expertise, TÜV SÜD’s certified experts and technical consultants provide services throughout their clients’ entire value chains. In doing so, they focus on their core competencies of consulting, testing, certification and training. 24,000 staff proactively optimizes technology, systems and expertise at over 800 locations in Europe, America and Asia.

In the field of wind energy we are one of the leading international testing and certification bodies. In addition to several national recognitions TÜV is officially acknowledged as inspection body for wind turbines according to the German building code (DIBt type approval).

Type certification ensures that all relevant national and international standards will be taken into consideration and complied with right from the manufacturing process. Analyses of wind potential, wind measurement, energy yield and wind reports and evaluations of turbulence and extreme winds are applied to ensure a reliable site assessment. Investors and owners/operators also benefit from third-party wind-farm certification. Within the scope of integrated inspection and assessment, the wind experts support projects from greenfield planning to due diligence, regular wind-farm inspection and commissioning, and supply reliable data to improve the security of investments.
