Detail_loch_ness_1The fact that it is indeed possible to change an industrial nation's energy supply to renewable energy without power outages has now been sufficiently proven. However, the next stage of the energy transition is now imminent: What to do with the electricity not needed right away?

The obvious answer to this question is - save it. However, what works well on a small scale with batteries looks completely different on an industrial one. A powerhouse for the production of renewable energy in Europe is Great Britain as well as Germany. TPI Composites and Vestas Expand Partnership
Detail_tpi_sTPI Composites, the only independent manufacturer of composite wind blades with a global manufacturing footprint, has announced to expand their partnership with Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas.

The Danes have exercised an option to add two more V136 blade manufacturing lines under an existing multiyear supply agreement.  TPI will produce blades from six lines for Vestas at TPI’s new manufacturing hub in Matamoros, Mexico. Production from this facility will begin this quarter.

Iberdrola to Construct Greece Wind Farm
Detail_iberdrola_20180709Iberdrola has won the rights to construct another wind farm in the latest Greece renewables auction.

The Pyrgari wind farm is going to be located in the centre of Greece about 110 kilometres from Athens. Turbines will be provided by Danish manufacturer Vestas with a capacity of 4 MW per unit. The wind farm will have a total capacity of 16 MW and is scheduled to be operationel between 2020 and 2021.
