Bilbao's Thriving Wind Industry
Detail_windbox_20180425Spain's wind industry has had a real rollercoaster ride in recent years: the country was one of the first in Europe to commit itself to the expansion of wind power and was able to attract many companies through the advantageous allocation of subsidies. When subsidies were cancelled, the expansion came to a complete standstill. Those who didn't want to go bankrupt left the country or at least sought their salvation abroad.

Then another change of course followed: tenders were launched and a new support system has given the market the necessary impetus to resume expansion. Now Spain can reap first fruits.
